Job Summary

Novant Health Pinnacle Orthopedics Salisbury is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join their team. The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey The Registered Nurse accepts responsibility, authority, and accountability for management and provision of care in accordance with the current policies an procedures. Develops and maintains positive relationships with team members/internal customers. Consistently demonstrates a willingness to adjust activities to accommodate the needs of team members/internal customers. Develops team members through mentoring, precepting, orientation, and providing feedback. Resolves conflicts independently, as appropriate. Accepts responsibility for actions and responds positively upon feedback from others. Utilizes data received from patient satisfaction and practice performance results to identify opportunities to improve and participates in the planning and improvement process.

Responsibilities

  • Uses problem solving skills to identify and work through issues. Facilitates quality of patient care. Serves as an advocate for the patient. Serves as liaison for various clinical functions such as Clinical Practice, Occupational Health, etc.
  • Demonstrates refined assessment skills to collaboratively discover the patient's story. Integrating the following elements: subjective data, objective data, physical picture, psychosocial components, personal preferences and norms, and learning needs and preferences. Must be able to utilize an ongoing process to interpret data and recognize patterns and trends to determine both immediate and future care needs.
  • Dialogues with the patient/chosen support system to identify what is important to them and incorporate his/her preferences and norms into the individualized care plan. Engages the interdisciplinary care team in planning individualized care. Identifies relevant resources based on necessity and availability

Qualifications

  • Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has beeninactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience: One year of experience in a physician practice environment, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in appropriate state, required.
